Program Evaluations

Program evaluations provide an in-depth review of agency operations and issues. In addition, many of these reports provide background information relating to significant policy issues facing the state.

The links on the right side of this page provide direct access to the following reports:

  1. Public Health Evaluation: This report reviews the governance of the county public health departments and documents the utilization of general grant-in-aid (GGIA) funding.
  2. Substance Abuse Report: This report summarizes the results of the state's substance abuse treatment programs for adult and youth offenders. This report also includes a detailed appendix that provides information on the different types of substance abuse services available to offenders in Georgia.
  3. Factors that Influence Incarcerations Rates: This policy brief outlines the principle factors that influence incarceration rates. The paper provides an introductory summary of the primary policies, laws, programs, and personal factors that influence the incarceration rate and provides Georgia statistics and information for each factor.
