The Georgia All-Payer Claims Database (GAPCD) Advisory Committee is established by O.C.G.A. §31-53-41 for the purpose of making recommendations regarding the creation of the framework and implementation plan for the APCD. The APCD will facilitate the reporting of healthcare and health quality data resulting in transparent and public reporting of safety, quality, cost, and efficiency information at all levels of healthcare.
The Advisory Committee meets at the call of the chairperson and shall meet at least quarterly. The last GAPCD Advisory Committee meeting was held on June 23rd, 2022. If you would like additional information or to request a summary of the meeting, please email [email protected].
The Director of the Office of Health Strategy and Coordination (OHSC) serves as the chairperson of the GAPCD Advisory Committee and presides over 12 members, including representatives from the following:
The committee also includes representatives from the hospital industry, as appointed by the Governor, the health care philanthropic community, as appointed by the Governor, the insurance industry, as appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and medical providers, as appointed by the Lieutenant Governor.
