Judicial Grant

Governor Kemp dedicated $158M to combat violent crime and help support the Georgia judiciary's recovery from COVID-19. This grant provides funding to address court backlogs in cases with a primary focus on serious violent felonies. The Office of Planning and Budget awarded two projects under this grant: 

• Administrative Office of the Courts: $105,600,000.00 
• Georgia Public Defenders Council: $53,265,779.00
