COVID-19 Prevention and Mitigation Assisted Living Communities and Personal Care Homes with 25 beds+ Grant
This grant program supports licensed Assisted Living Communities and Personal Care Homes with at least 25 beds. These facilities must provide services to prevent and mitigate COVID-19 to the public. The grant program will allow reimbursements for costs incurred beginning on March 3, 2021, and ending December 1, 2022.
Eligible expenses must be necessary to comply with Sections 4.0 and 6.0 of the Long-Term Care Facilities Reopening Guidance. The Georgia Department of Public Health updated this guidance in its Administrative Order dated October 6, 2021. Examples of eligible expenses include:
- Antigen, PCR and Serology Tests
- Mandatory Baseline Testing.
- Purchases of personal protective equipment
- Support for isolation or quarantine
- Ventilation improvements
The facilities that receive this grant will need to provide documentation to support the request for reimbursement. They must also certify the expenses were necessary for the prevention or mitigation of COVID 19 in their facility. Facilities must further certify that grant proceeds will not reimburse expenses that other sources have reimbursed or will reimburse.
