Contingency Line Items for Approved Cost Overruns

The Office of Planning and Budget is pleased to announce its implementation of a contingency budget line for specific grant programs. Therefore, these awards will be amended to include a 10% contingency line item for approved cost overruns in the event that the actual costs of your project exceed the planned approved budget. The contingency line will be added during the budgeting process.  Grantees will be required to submit narrative and supporting documentation to demonstrate the cost overrun.
